The Draw With Brazil Feels Like A Victory- Adepoju

Former Nigerian midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has hailed the Super Eagles for holding their own against five times world champions Brazil on Sunday.

Super Eagles played out 1-1 draw against the South American champions at the National Stadium, a result that earned the players praises from Nigeria’s soccer faithfuls.

 

Former Eagles midfielder, Adepoju said the draw tasted like victory and charged the team not to rest on its oars ahead of future tasks.

 

Adepoju also went further, via Twitter, where he described the performance.

“Well-done brave SuperEagles! This draw looks like a win and I believe this is a sign of good things to come for our senior national team.

“Also, there are lots of lessons to take home against Brazil and that is very important”. He said.
