The 2022/23 English Premier League season has officially ended, as the last round of matches were played this Sunday.

Nigerian stars were in action for their various clubs in the Premier League, as some faced the damning consequences of a horrendous campaign, while others put in great shifts to lift their teams.

Here’s a Round up of the PL season finale games:

Frank Onyeka played for 81 minutes as Brentford won 1-0 against Manchester City at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Continuing his goal scoring streak, Taiwo Awoniyi delivered yet again for Nottingham Forest as he notched his 10 Premier League goal for his strike against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

It was the fourth consecutive league game where Awoniyi scored. The game ended 1-1 at Selhurst Park.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfried Ndidi were relegated from the Premier League with Leicester City despite the Foxes 2-1 victory against West Ham.

Iheanacho was in action for 77 minutes while Ndidi did not make the squad due to a thigh injury.

Alex Iwobi’s Everton won 1-0 against Bournemouth and avoided relegation. The midfielder played the entire 90 minutes and contributed a big part to the team securing their Premier League status for next season.

Paul Onuachu did not make the squad for Southampton, who have already been relegated, while Joe Aribo was an unused substitute as the Saints drew 4-4 against Liverpool.
