Forward Terem Moffi returned to action for FC Lorient in Ligue 1 this Sunday when they hosted OGC Nice at the Stade du Moustoir.

Moffi was a 60th minute substitute, coming off the bench for Lorient after missing one game with an ankle injury.

But, it was not the dream return he would have hoped for as Les Merlus let slip to fall 2-1 at home – their Eight games unbeaten streak ended.

Having taken the lead in the 18th minute through Dango Quattara, the hosts dominated the stats boxes but possession in the first half.

Yielding the ball eventually came back to hurt them and after the restart, OGC Nice applied more pressure chasing the leveler.

Eventually it did come a minute after the introduction of Moffi, Youcef Atal grabbing the equalizer from a Billal Brahimi assist.

Again the visitors struck, eight minutes after tying up the score, Gaetan Laborde hit home what proved the winner.

FC Lorient would have hoped their top scorer this season would turn up, but Terem Moffi did not show the kind of form that has seen him net eight goals so far this season.

He registered no shot, managed only 7 touches and completed only 4 passes on a difficult night.

Next up for Lorient will is a home game against League leaders Paris Saint-German next Sunday.
