Terem Moffi Breaks Silence on limited Opportunity in Super Eagles

A breakthrough season with FC Lorient in the French top flight earned Terem Moffi his debut Nigeria invitation two years ago, but six games later the Forward has failed to nail down a regular place and remains on the fringes.

Moffi, 23, is a talented Attacker with ability to play in multiple positions upfront, but whereas he is the linchpin for his Ligue 1 side, the Forward has not caught the eyes in the Nationals colors.
However, in the Player’s defense NT Coaches have only handed him cameos given the stiff competition for places in the top Striker’s position and the pecking order.
In all six matches, Terem Moffi has only managed 242 minutes, Four of those caps have been as second half substitute.
Only twice has he started for Nigeria and they came in the recent friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador – in the absence of the regulars.
But it seems the Player isn’t giving up on yet and has made plea for minutes in Nigeria’s game, Today, against Sao Tome & Principe in the AFCON qualifier.
The Super Eagles are favorites against the team ranked 183rd and though he expects a win, Moffi has spoken about a possible role in the game.
‘Firstly, We need the points and when we do, I think it’ll go a long way,’ the Forward stated. ‘Hopefully, I’ll get some game time and I try my best.’
