Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi picked from where he left off for OGC Nice, as he scored the opening goal in the 1-1 draw away at Angers.

Nice were overwhelming favorites to win the encounter as Angers were on a five-game losing streak and have failed to score in the last three matches.

When Moffi scored the game’s opener, just four minutes in, it seemed that the game will be a walk in the park for Didier Rigard’s men.

The Nigerian executed with a well-composed finish from inside the box courtesy of a Gaetan Laborde assist.

But, Angers had other ideas and equalized Eleven minutes after through Ibrahima Niane.

With two goals in the opening 15 minutes, it was expected that there would be more goals, but Angers were resilient defensively and held on for the point.

The result had little or no consequence for the team rooted bottom of the tables with 11 points from 29 games, while for Nice it’ll be a matter of two points lost as their hope of closing the gap for a European spot was shattered.

On an individual note, it appears Terem Moffi is finally at home and has now scored in his last three appearances for Nice, after failing to score in his first three.

His fourth goal in seven league games for his new side has now moved the Forward’s overall tally to 16 in the French league.
