Victor Osimhen ended a four-game goal drought when he found the back of the net in Napoli’s biggest win so far this season as they dispatched Udinese 4-1 in the mid-week League fixture.
Osimhen (39′) scored the second for Napoli after Piotr Zielinski (19′) put the champions ahead from the spot.
The Forward has had a whirlwind week from hai one-sided spat with head coach, Rudi Garcia last weekend and the controversial social media post by on the club’s official TikTok account.
Despite some tense moments pre-match, the Forward got down to business and looked like his old self.
However, he was eventually substituted in the 63rd minute and replaced by Giovanni Simeone who wrapped up the goals (82′) after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (74′) had made it three to the hosts.
Isaac Success and Maduka Okoye were both named in the squad for Udinese. The former came off the bench in the 58th minute while the latter got no minutes.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen recently revealed that he would prefer playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) over the Saudi Pro League if he were offered similar conditions.
