Super Eagles Head Coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been assured a place in the English senior team ahead of the coming International break.
The Nigeria Football Federation showed interest in luring the forward to play in the Super Eagles, but latest remarks from the head coach of the team has now put an end to the talks.
It is understood that England coach Gareth Southgate will hand Abraham an invitation for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria on October 11 and 14, respectively.
“It is also significant to note that Abraham has been assured that he will be in the England squad,” Rohr said.
The Franco-German tactician also disclosed that Abraham and his Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori have not showing enough commitment to represent the three-time African champions.
“Tomori is a very good friend of our player Ola Aina (former Chelsea and England youth international) and he said he does not want to discuss this for now.
“We have to focus on what we have and not lose focus about what people say all the time.” Rohr said.
Rohr will lead the Super Eagles out against Brazil in an international friendly later this month in Singapore.
