Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel has expressed delight at the team’s 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau in their CAF Africa Cup of Nations, second-leg match.
The Super Eagles laboured to a 1-0 win, through a first-half penalty, over the Djurtus after a scandalous home loss in the first leg.
In the match, Bright Osayi-Samuel was yet a standout performer, and he got the game-winning penalty when he was fouled in the box.
“It is an amazing feeling coming back with the win, especially when they beat us at home in Abuja.
“We really wanted to come back and get revenge on them. As a whole team, everyone is happy, it gives us confidence now to go into the remaining games and qualify for AFCON.”
The Super Eagles will look to cement qualification to the 2024 AFCON when they play Sierra Leone away from home in June.
