Superb Nwakaeme scores and assists in Trabzonspor’s 5-1 win against Yeni Malayatspor

Anthony Nwakaeme scored and got an assist as Trabzonspor routed Yeni Malatyaspor 5-1 in their opening game of the Turkish Super Lig on Monday.

Nwakaeme doubled Trabzonspor’s lead Eight minutes after Anastasios Bakasetas’s goal inside the opening three minutes of the encounter.
In the 29th minute the Nigerian will then turn provider, setting up Ivory Coast’s Gervinho for the team’s third goal.
The hosts pulled one back, Adem Buyu with a strike in the 32nd minute to reduce the deficit.
However Trabzonspor were not done and Marek Hamsik, who was provider for the team’s first goal, grabbed his chance set up by Gervinho to make it 4-1.
In the 66th minute, the visitors were awarded a penalty which Djaniny put away nicely to stretch the lead further and end any chance of contest.
Late on in the game Nwakaeme was substituted, the attacker had done enough to earn an ovation from the travelling supporters, but there’s no news yet on the club offering him a new deal.
The 32 year-old’s current contract runs out next year and he is valued at €5 million but could leave on a free.
