Super Falcons assistant coach, Justin Madugu believes the team will show improvements from their performance in the first-leg of their Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia.

The Super Falcons forced the Lucy’s to a 1-1 draw in Addis Ababa, after Rasheedat Ajibade (56′) canceled out Birkie Amare’s (6′) opening goal.

Majority of the players had arrived Addis Ababa only a day before the matchday, and had only one training session.

In a chat with BRL, Madugu said that the team has made the necessary corrections and the Players are even more determine to end the 12-year hiatus from the Games.

“The girls are really committed and very determined to ensure that this time around they qualify for the Olympics,” Madugu reiterated.

“It is because they know what it means to Nigerians, having built a reputation for themselves in the last World Cup, which would be the standard with which they would be judged.

“We do not have any reason not to be at the Olympics.”
