Speaking on whether the Super Falcons can win the Female World Cup tournament in France, he said the female team is the most successful national team in the world having won the tournament nine times as compared to Germany who have won the European Cup eight times and United States who have won their equivalent of the AWCON eight times.
He reiterated that the executive committee ensured all promises made to them in Ghana were fulfilled. “We have really prepared the team. They have played eleven to twelve competitive matches from January till date. They will play Slovakia on Monday before they go to France.”
He concluded by saying that people can now stop saying that the focus is only on the Super Eagles. “The good news is that the Super Falcons are currently camped where the Super Eagles camped before the World Cup. In spite of the enormity of the challenges we have, we are doing our best.”
