Nigeria’s qualification for the Tokyo 2002 Olympic Games in non-negotiable, midfielder Osarenoma Igbinovia has told footballlive.ng.
Igbinovia, who is one of 30 players invited for the September 30th qualifier against Ivory Coast, says the team cannot afford to miss out on a place in the Games next summer.
“It has been a long while since we were at the Olympics; the last time we lost to Equatorial Guinea, so we don’t need that type of result right now.
“We just need to qualify, the task ahead of us is very tough because Ivory coast is a good team and we won’t take them for granted.”
