Super Falcons back to reckoning after victory in the second match.


Super Falcons  who bounced back  in the second group game of the AWCON by winning the shepolopolo of Zambia yesterday .

After a tight first half during which the falcons scored a goal, the  Falcons went ahead in the second to bridged the Zambians’ offside tactics and stormed through to win 4-0.

Star player Asisat Oshoala in particular had several chances to add to the tally but good goalkeeper combined with poor finishing denied her.
Their Swedish head coach Thomas Dennerby who spoke after the match to our source said he would have been happier with more goals.
Regardless i am very happy we were able to maintain a balanced tactics and techniques in the game.
 And to score four goals  without conceding was a remarkable one, but honestly if there is something  in the game I’m not totally happy about is the chances of goals with lost in the game but all the same it’s a good result, he said after the game.
The Falcons will next tackle Equatorial Guinea on Saturday by 5 pm Nigerian time and the coach insisted it will be another important game if they hope to reach the knockout rounds of the competition.
