Crucial times lay ahead for several Nigerian players whose club contracts will enter the final months and in other cases just another year left when the 2023/23 season comes around.
Most of the players, members of the current Nigeria Men’s NT squad are faced with the dire need to shop for new teams or improve their games to earn important roles in their respective teams for the new campaign.
No less than 12 of the players pencilled down for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers have at least just one year left on their current deals, while two are free agents.
The likes of Ahmed Musa (29), Leon Balogun (33) and Kenneth Omeruo (28) who are on the last legs of their International careers are among the names with this list.
