Josh Maja continued on the purple patch as he netted a hat-trick in Bordeaux;s 6-0 win over Nimes in a French Ligue Un clash at the Stade Matmut Atlantique Stadium on Tuesday.
Fresh from his goal against Reims over the weekend, Maja wasted very little time on Tuesday, grabbing his first goal in the 24th minute, beating the offside trap to slot home from close range.
His second came in the 37th minute, as he connected with a pass from Yacine Adli.
He then completed his hat-trick in the 53rd minute to become the fourth Nigerian to score a hat-trick in a Ligue Un game.
But he wasn’t done though, the 20 year-old turned provider for Bordeaux’s fourth, when he set up Nicolas de Preville, before Henrique Otavio grabbed other two goals.
