Granada midfielder Ramon Azeez reveals that he can’t wait to start getting regular playing time for the Super Eagles, adding that he will give his best to team when called upon.
Azeez who returned to the Super Eagles after a five years exile, has experienced a resurgence at Granada this season playing six times and scoring twice.
The 26-year old made a cameo appearance in Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw against Brazil in an international friendly back in October and was an used substitute in Nigeria’s 2021 AFCON qualifiers opening game against Benin.
However he came on for Joe Aribo in the 71st minute and had a hand in Victor Osimhen’s second goal as Nigeria condemned the Crocodiles to a 4-2 defeat in Maseru on Sunday.
The former Almeria midfielder admitted that his limited playing time is down to the array of talents in the current Eagles’ squad.
“There are players of incredible quality in this team. I always accept the coach’s decision and I have to keep working with humility, compete with my teammates and when I have the chance to give my all for the national team,” Azeez told www.brila.net.
“I am calm and happy to be part of the group and I only have words of thanks for everyone because being here with my colleagues you can only learn more.”
