Coach Gernot Rohr hinted that some of his top players that missed the friendly against Ukraine and Brazil are not out of the squad to face Lesotho and Benin Republic in next month 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Captain Ahmed Musa, midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo, defender Ola Aina and winger Samuel Kalu missed last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with the Selecao of Brazil at the Kallang National Stadium in Singapore due to injury.

Rohr has now admitted that he’s facing selection dilemma should these trusted player return to full fitness ahead of the AFCON qualifiers.

“Now what would happen with all these injured players back? “If Musa can come back, if Ola Aina can come back and if Etebo too can come back, so we would see what can happen with the top players for these impactful games,” Rohr added.

Nigeria will take on the Squirrels of Benin Republic at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City next month.
