Defeat to lowly Madagascar will spread humility and help the Super Eagles players girdle up for the test against defending champions, Cameroon, Alex Iwobi has suggested.

Madagascar, who are ranked 108th and are debuting at the AFCON, stunned Nigeria in a group B game.

The Barea eased to a 2-0 win and topped the group ahead of Nigeria, Guinea and Burundi.

Speaking on team’s chances of coming out stronger from the defeat to face Cameroon, Iwobi believes the Eagles will be hungry for victory.

“Of Course, Even though we had a defeat in the last game it will give us a bit of humility and it will give us the hunger to go to the next game,” the Midfielder told the Super Eagles Official Youtube page.
