Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho netted for Leicester City as they managed to grind out a 2-1 win against Wolves at the King Power Stadium, lifting them above the relegation zone on goals difference.

Matheus Cunha grabbed the first goal of the game in the 13th minute after he was teed up on the edge of the box by Mario Lemina.

He drove the ball straight into the bottom left corner which left Daniel Iversen with absolutely no chance of saving.

Kelechi Iheanacho equalized in the 36th minute as he converted a resulting penalty after goalkeeper Jose Sa fouled Jamie Vardy with a mistimed sliding tackle and was shown a yellow card for the offence.

Iheanacho made no mistake as he stuttered before cooly slamming the ball past Jose Sa into the bottom left corner, sending the Goalkeeper the wrong way.

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was introduced into the game in the 67th minute when he replaced Belgian midfielder, Youri Tielemans.

Leicester City would cement their first win under manager Dean Smith when Timothy Castagne latched on a brilliant pass from Victor Kristiansen and released a first-time shot into the bottom right corner.

Kelechi Iheanacho was replaced by Nampalys Mendy in a move by Dean Smith to ensure he preserved the points, and it worked.

The victory halted their nine-game winless streak in the Prem.
