The Super Eagles got all three points in what was a laboured victory away from home against Guinea-Bissau via a Moses Simon 30th minute penalty to send Nigeria back on top of their CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group.

Nigeria did not struggle to create chances, but the team were blunt in the final third; Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen struggled to influence the game despite having at least two guilt-edge opportunities to score.

Osimhen particularly was unlucky not to get on the score sheet as his effort came off the inside of the upright, he also dragged a shot just wide from a tight angle.

Meanwhile, Bright Osayi-Samuel continued to warm his way into the heart of football fans back home with yet another standout performance.

The RB put in a good two-way shift, adding verve to the attack and a good cover on the other end.

The Super Eagles will look to seal the qualification for the CAF 2024 AFCON when they play Sierra Leone away from home, on June 11.
