Leganes coach Javier Aguirre has revealed that defender Kenneth Omeruo suffered a muscle injury in his side’s 2-1 loss to Barcelona in a La Liga match on Saturday.

Omeruo was replaced by Rodrigo Tarín in the 83rd minute after feeling discomfort in his left thigh.

After Saturday’s game at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, Manager Aguirre told the media that the Nigerian defender suffered a muscular injury.

“They are injuries that can take a while. Omeruo has something muscular and Rosales looks like a sprain,” Aguirre said.

Omeruo is now a major doubt for Leganes next league match against Sevilla on Sunday, December 1.

He has also missed key games against Osasuna, Villarreal, Levante, Mallorca and SD Eibar.
