Super Eagle Boss Rohr Ranked Among Best National Team Coaches

Nigeria head Coach Gernot Rohr has been ranked 19th best national coach in the world according to German based International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

IFFHS on Wednesday in a list of Coaches published, ranked the Franco-German behind Senegal’s Aliou Cisse, Nicolas Dupuis of Madagascar and Algeria’s Djamel Belmadi, who make up the top four in Africa.

 

Djamel led Algeria to the 2019 AFCON title at the expense of Senegal, while Nicolas Dupuis masterminded a famous win with Madagascar over Nigeria and also reached the knock out stage in their debut tournament.

 

Meanwhile, Rohr shared 19th position with Jan Olof Andersson (Sweden), Paulo Bento (South Korea), Age Hareide (Denmark), Marcello Lippi (China), Oleksandr Petrakov (Ukraine U20) and Marc Wilmots (Iran).

 

Portugal’s Fernando Santos, was ranked as the first of the summit after leading the Selecao to the UEFA Nations League glory in June 2019 and also qualified them for Euro next year.
