2018/19 NPFL joint top scorer, Sunusi Ibrahim is likely to lead Nigeria’s attack at the Under 17 World Cup later this year in Brazil.

Coach Manu Garba listed Sunusi and 51 others in a provisional list as the Eaglets began camping in Abuja, yesterday.

The Nasarawa United striker scored 19 goals in the NPFL last season; a feat only equalled by established top man, Mfon Udoh of Akwa United.

After Sunusi passed the mandatory MRI test, his experience and goal scoring prowess is expected to place him ahead of other strikers in the team.

Nigeria will face Australia, Hungary and Ecuador in group B of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup later in November.
