Substitute Role for Samuel Kalu in Bordeaux Clash vs OGC Nice

The duo of Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja were second half substitutes as Bordeaux fought from a goal down to earn a point; 1-1, on the road against Nice on Friday.

Kalu came on in the  70th minute for Hwang Ui-Jo, while Maja was introduced in the 83rd minutes, replacing Francois Kamano.

 

Pierre Lees Melou put Nice in front with a thumping header in the 27th minute at the Allianz Riviera Stadium, before Jimmy Briand equalised for the visitor in the 49th minute of the game.

 

Bordeaux are third on the log with 19 points from 13 games and have now taken 11 of their points on the road.

 

Kalu has been invited by Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho respectively.
