Nigerian International Stephen Odey says he feels lucky after winning the Belgian Super Cup with his new team Genk in Belgium.
The former MFM FC of Lagos striker took to Twitter and said ” I count myself lucky to have lifted two major trophies under three years since moving to Europe.
First it was Swiss Cup with FC Zurich and now Belgian Super Cup with @KRCGenkofficial. 🎖️ .
Odey won the Swiss Cup with FC Zurich in 2018 and added the Belgian Super Cup to his trophy cabinet after Genk defeated Mechelen 3-0, even though Odey didn’t feature in the game.
Between 2016 and 2017, Odey scored 23 goals in 42 appearances for MFM.
He scored 18 goals in the 2017 NPFL season, just one shy of eventual top scorer Anthony Okpotu.
