Spain have been crowned World Champions after the impressive performance against England in the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup inside the packed Stadium Australia, on Sunday.

Olga Carmona’s goal in the 29th minute was enough to seal Spain’s first ever Major trophy, as they become the fifth nation to win the tournament.

Albeit it was billed to be a close encounter owing to the precedence of the teams, but, Jorge Vidal’s side show class and dominance, completely outclassing the European Champions in regulation time.

The scoreline could have been more, but England’s Mary Earps saved a second half penalty to give Sarina Wiegman’s team some breathing space.

However, they would see very little chance in the Opponent’s box afterwards, and the 2019 semi-finalists settled for the loser’s medal.

Meanwhile, Spain have become the only Country to win all the FIFA World Cup tournaments available in the Women’s category and are second behind Germany as the Nations to have won both the Men and Women World Cup tournaments.
