AFCON U17: South Africa sets up cracker against Nigeria

South Africa U17 National team bounced back from the first game loss against Morocco in the Cup of Nations, to spectacularly clinch all three points against Zambia, and to set up a winner takes all last Group stage game against Nigeria.

Both South Africa and Nigeria have picked up three points each, however, Nduka Ugbade’s side have a superior goal difference, and a draw will be enough to join Morocco in the last eight of the tournament.

 

South Africa almost gave away a two-goal lead after racing two-goal up in just half an hour, but Zambia had no response to Michael Dokunmu’s 76th goal with the sides tied at 2-2.

Zambian midfielder, Emmanuel Mwanza had scored a brace (45′ , 48′) to cancel out Vicky Mkhawana’s first half brace (12′ , 31′).
