The duo of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori are excited with their invitation to the England squad for the European Championship Qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
After a long speculation over their International future, Tomori and Abraham were finally invited to the Three Lions set up by Gareth Southgate, few hours after their impressive performance in Chelsea’s UEFA Champions league win over Lille.
The duo are part of the 25-man squad released by England manager, Gareth Southgate on Thursday , and the duo are elated about the development.
“Always proud to get the @England call up. Congrats boys ,” Abraham who has scored eight goals this season for Chelsea tweeted.
Tomori, who won the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the young lions back in 2017 also took to his social to reveal his happiness.
“What an honour to get my first @England call up. Can’t wait to link up with the squad ,” Tomori tweeted.
Southgate’s side will travel to Prague to face Czech Republic on Friday October 11, before another away fixture against Bulgaria the following Monday, October 14.
A minute for both players in these matches means they won’t be eligible to play for Nigeria anymore.
