Dominic Solanke and Jordon Ibe were on the losing side when Bournemouth and Manchester City clashed at the vitality Stadium on Sunday in the English Premier League.
The duo started from the bench as manager Eddie Howe opted for a 5-4-1 formation.
While Jordon Ibe was introduced in the 68th minute to replace Adam Smith, Dominic Solanke got his chance a minute later, taking the place of Callum Wilson.
Their introduction sparked the Bournemouth attack into life, but they couldn’t help the Cherries avoid defeat against the Champions, whose victory was inspired by goals from Sergio Aguero (16′, 64′) and Raheem Sterling (43′).
Solanke who has represented England at all youth levels won the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup with England and received the Golden Ball award for best player in the latter tournament.
Ibe also represented England in the junior level in the past, but both are still eligible to play for Nigeria if they choose to switch allegiance.
