Ahmed Musa and his Sivasspor teammates welcomed Galatasaray to the Yeni 4 Eylül Stadyumu on Thursday in the Super Lig.

Musa started in the game, his second start this season and only in his sixth appearance for the team.

However, the Sivasspor were put to the sword by the league leaders and it was a dramatic game.

Galatasaray took a first half lead through Dries Mertens who found the back of the net in the 27th minute.

In the second half Sivasspor thought they had equalized, but the goal was chalked off after a VAR review.

Meanwhile, Musa was replaced in the 66th minute by Cameroon star Clinton N’jie. But the hosts wouldn’t get the result for their tactical changes until the 80th minute.

Erdogan Yesilyurt produced the moment hitting the ball low and into the bottom right side from inside the 18-yard box.

However the game and all the drama was far from over because the fourth official showed the teams will play 17 minutes as added time.

Four minutes in, Baris Yilmaz capitalized on some slack defending and fired home to restore Gala’s lead.

A second yellow card for Sivasspor goal scorer, Yesilyurt, saw him sent off.

The game ended and Sivasspor were sent back down to earth following back to back games where they avoided defeat.

Sivasspor are now 17th in the standing with just 14 points from 16 games.
