Despite the setback against Algeria on Tuesday night, winger Moses Simon says there are positives to pick from Nigeria’s defeat in the international friendly.

Super Eagles 2-1 in Oran, despite scoring first from Terem Moffi’s predatory finish, and had a goal from Ademola Lookman wrongfully chalked off for offside.

Simon criticized the officiating, suggesting the Referee could have done better, but admits the group has learnt from their mistakes.

Speaking after the game, the stand-in Super Eagles captain said coach Jose Peseiro admonished the team to focus on the game and avoid the any confrontation with the Referee.

The defeat was Peseiro’s first against an African opposition and as Nigeria’s coach, but ‘the team will continue to work hard in order to get back to winning ways,’ the winger expressed.
