Moses Simon was in action for Eighty-four minutes but he couldn’t help his side get a victory against Folarin Balogun-led Stade de Reims as Nantes lost 1-0 away from home at the Stade Auguste-Delaune.
Nantes have suffered for consistency since the start of the season and faced an uphill task away to Stade de Reims, who were unbeaten in 5 games heading into the encounter.
Simon started on the left flank but couldn’t make an impact for his side.
The Canaries got a red card early in the second half as Nicolas Pallios was booked for the second time after bringing down Folarin Balogun just before the English man got into the box.
Nantes were resilient after being reduced to ten men but their hard work was soon undone when Balogun won and converted a penalty in the 83rd minute to give Reims the lead.
The win also extended their unbeaten run to six games in Ligue 1.
