The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has announced a significant increase in the winning prize for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Winners of the 2024 NPL season will pick up ₦150 million, an increase from the ₦100m awarded last season.

According to League Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, the reviewed prize money will motivate teams and raise the competition’s intensity.

Enyimba were crowned champions of the last season, clinching their 9th league crown in the Super 6 playoffs.
