Nigeria will take on Sierra Leone at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium, this Sunday, in Liberia for a matchday 5 fixture in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Standing a place above their hosts in Group A, Nigeria are on 9 points after four rounds and a draw is enough to see them book their place in the AFCON tournament which holds next year in Cote d’Ivoire.

In his presser ahead of the encounter, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro said that although a draw will be enough to seal qualification, his team is expected to approach every game to win.

He also insists that the motivation to seal their qualification for the Cup of Nations is enough to propel them to victory.

“It’s an important match for both teams,” Peseiro said in his pre-match Presser. “Our team wants to win but we know we must do our best, do the 100 percent in the match, and put the maximum in the match.

“We need one point but we want to win, I expect a good game and a good match because it’s a game of two good teams.

“We want to win every time. Nigeria has given me the responsibility, We want to win trophies; to win the AFCON. We have the responsibility to play every time for a win.

“We know the Power and quality of our opponent; it’s not easy beating Sierra Leone at home, but we believe in this. We have a good team, we have good players.

“The match will be tough and hard but we want to win, I expect the same from the Sierra Leone camp.”

‘We come to take our place at the next AFCON tournament, we come with that motivation if we win or draw, but we want to win, we go to the AFCON, we don’t need more motivation than that.”
