Victor Osimhen’s Serie A opening game lasted just 23 minutes after the forward was shown a straight red for an off the ball incident.
Osimhen was sent off for a violent conduct, but his unsportsmanlike action caught the eyes of the Referee who didn’t hesitate to serve him his marching orders.
He pushed an opponent in the face while they both contested for the ball from a corner kick. Although the call appeared to have been a bit harsh.
The Nigerian couldn’t have imagined a worst start to the season in what is also his second red card as a professional player.
He could potentially miss the next three games – Genoa (A), Juventus (H), Udinese (A) – for Napoli in the Serie A.
