Football Association of Zambia, General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga said the Shepolopolo have taken a valuable lesson from the tournament despite their early exit.

Zambia lost 5-0 to Spain confirming their exit from the tournament after they had lost by the same scoreline in their opening game of the campaign against Japan.

“I think it is a big motivation to the girls in the country to come to this stage and represent their country,” Kamanga stold FL.

“A lot of girls are looking up to these Players as role models, whether they can make a career out of football.”

“I think there are lessons to take home from the tournament back home, not only for the girl-child but for the country as a whole.

“They are heroes, even before the tournament, they were heroes. Their profiles have gone up because people are watching from all over the world and billions of people seeing them, it does not get bigger than that.”
