Seychelles pulled off a huge shock on Tuesday by pulling off a goalless draw against South Africa, to help Nigeria slow Bafana Bafana down in the race to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Bafana started the Group E qualifiers with a shock 2-0 win away to Nigeria in 2017, then got a draw at home with Libya and dumped Seychelles 6-0 last time out in Johannesburg, only for them to falter in the reverse fixture in Victoria.

Nigeria had gone to same venue in Seychelles and returned home with a 3-0 win, which means the Super Eagles’ chances of reaching Cameroon 2019 top of their group were brightened by Tuesday’s result between The Pirates and Bafana.
