Senegalese Football Association president, Augustin Senghor has disclosed that the Terangha Lions will play a test match with the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Senegal has been drawn in Group C of the African Cup of Nations alongside Algeria , Kenya and Tanzania and are one of pre tournament favourites.
Super Eagles on the their part will face Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea as they will returning to the tournament for the first time since 2013.
However Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr revealed after the Friday draw that his side will play two pre-tournament games against Ghana and Senegal.
“We have two friendlies against Ghana and Senegal, “Rohr stated.
“Ghana in Nigeria and Senegal probably one week before the tournament here in Egypt.”
“It would be a great showpiece of football, but it is important for our players to avoid injuries as the season heads towards the end.”
Head coach of the Terangha Lions Aliou Cisse and Rohr were at the Friday draw and are expected to meet later to decide on the venue game and other important details.
