Senegal and Morocco defeated Burkina Faso and Mali respectively to both make their first ever U17 Africa Cup of Nations final appearances.

Both teams needed to go through the hard path of a penalty shootout, with Senegal making history by reaching the finals of the U17 Cup of Nations tournament for the first time.

The Teranga Cubs played a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso, the first time they failed to win in regulation time at the tournament, but they came out top during the Penalty shootout.

Morocco played a goalless draw against Mali in what was a very tough encounter for the North African side, but they proved to be astute penalty-takers even coming from behind in the shootout to win it.

It will be a mouth-watering encounter when these two teams meet at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers on May 19, and it will be a deserving end to what has been an interesting tournament.

Burkina Faso and Mali will play for third place honors at the 1956 Stadium in Annaba on May 18, with all four teams already confirmed a place at the FIFA U17 World Cup.
