Sekidika suffers Turkish Cup Elimination


Jesse Sekidika was a second half substitute for Eyupspor in the Turkish Cup defeat to Alanyaspor on Wednesday at the Bahçeşehir Okulları Stadium.

Sekidika was introduced in the 67th minute with the scoreline tied at 1-1.

The sides eventually played 2-2 in regular time and the game extended into extra-time.

Alanyaspor had missed two chances from the penalty spot, Koka missing his kicks. But Ivory Coast’s Idrissa Doumbia saved the day for the hosts with his goal in extra time.

Doumbia’s 113th minute strike separated the sides; restoring Alanyaspor’s lead for a second time in the game.

Meanwhile, Jesse Sekidika is settling well at Eyupspor whom he after the end of his contract with Galatasaray.

The Winger had played on loan at the club in the final months of his Galatasaray career.

He signed a two-year deal with the second tier side and has made nine league appearances, with one goal to his name.

Eyupspor will return to action on Sunday when they face Keciorengucu in the league.
