Sekidika gets Cameo in Umraniyespor defeat, Relegation almost certain

Jesse Sekidika came off the bench in Saturday’s Super Lig match between Umraniyespor and Antalyaspor at the Antalya Stadium.

Sekidika, who is yet to get his full debut in the league for Umraniyespor, was introduced in the 73rd minute.

In the 84th minute the attacker who is on loan from second division side, Eyupspor was booked for a foul (84′).

The 26 year-old, yet couldn’t help the side avoid defeat in the 5-goal thriller, Antalyaspor coming from behind to win, 3-2.

Umut Nayir (Umraniyespor) scored the opener in the 33rd minute to give the relegation a good start.

But, the hosts responded and the next two goals came from them. First, Sam Larsson leveled the score line in the 38th minute, then in the 48th minute Güray Vural turned it around.

However, Umraniyespor also responded, Onur Ayik in the 56th minute brought the sides level, and when it looked like it could end in a draw, hopes were dashed.

In the second minute of added time Fredy Ribeiro scored and the inevitable on the night happened, as Antalyaspor claimed victory.

Based on the result, Umraniyespor remain rooted bottom of the League with 16 rounds of games left to play – but only a handful to secure their top flight status.
