Torino stunned hosts Sassuolo in their Friday night Serie A match, Marko Pjaca’s 83rd minute goal decided the match played inside the Mapei Stadium.
Clear chances were few and far between in the game, although Sassuolo had a goal chalked off in the first half by VAR, the visitors made life difficult for them there after.
It was a good game by Torino’s standard and for Ola Aina, who returned to the starting XI after the getting a bench role last week, the win comes as a big boost.
Aina started ahead of veteran Cristian Ansaldi, but the Nigeria would later replaced for the 34 year-old Argentine.
The younger defender played 51 minutes and got booked, in his fourth appearance for Torino this season as they pushed up to 9th in the log with the win, at least until after other sides play their 4th round of games later on the weekend.
