Franklin Sasere finally made his Europa League bow for Swiss side Lugano when they hosted FC Copenhagen on Thursday.
Sasere came on as a 70th minute substitute, but his side lost narrowly 1-0 from a Nicolaj Thomsen 27th minute-strike.
Lugano were let down by poor finishing and were made to pay dearly for missing several scoring opportunities as the visitors converted one of their three shots on target.
Sasere and his teammates have now crashed out of the tournament, but will entertain Dynamo Kyiv on December 12 in a dead rubber game at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kiev.
