Victor Osimhen scored four goals and provided two assists as Nigeria steamrolled Sao Tome & Principe 10-0 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Stade Adrar on Monday.

Under the scorching heat in Morocco’s Coastal City of Agadir, the Super Eagles were ruthless in front of goal and matched the biggest scoring record in International Men’s football.
The Super Eagles raced to a 3-0 lead in the first half with goals from Osimhen (9′), Moses Simon (28′) and Terem Moffi (43′) for his first international goal.
Osimhen scored his second, third and fourth goals in the second half (48′, 65’and 84′).
Peter Etebo scored a delightful free kick before Moffi got his brace and Ademola Lookman also chipped in with his debut goal for Nigeria.
The scoring was closed out from the penalty spot by substitute Emmanuel Dennis, who converted to also grab his first International goal.
It is Nigeria’s biggest win in 63 years since the 10-1 victory against Benin Republic.
Nigeria’s next games in the qualifiers are the home and away fixtures against Guinea-Bissau in September.
