Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu, has officially joined Swiss club Lausanne-Sport from Watford on a season-long loan deal.

The loan agreement also includes an option for Lausanne-Sport to purchase Kalu in the future, adding an extra layer of potential permanence to the deal.

Kalu will wear the jersey number 22.

The 26-year-old Nigerian international made the move to Watford in January 2022 from Ligue 1 club Girondins Bordeaux.

However, his time with the Hornets was marred by injury setbacks, limiting him to just 13 league appearances.

Once Kalu obtains his visa, he is expected to make his way to Switzerland to join his new teammates at Lausanne-Sport.

Prior to his stint at Watford, Kalu showcased his skills in Slovakia, representing AS Trencin, and also had a spell at Belgian Pro League club KAA Gent.

This transfer presents a fresh opportunity for Kalu to reignite his career and make a significant impact in the Swiss league.
