Salisu Yusuf said he hopes to take Rangers International FC to the next level but admits something has to change about the Club.

Rangers have had a slow start to the new NPFL season, and Coach Benedict Ugwu paid for the unimpressive show with his job.

But the club have now turned to Salisu Yusuf, who was appointed by the NFF to help the team ahead of their Confederation Cup clash with Pyramids of Egypt.

“I am here on a technical assistance from the federation as Rangers is representing the country in continental club football,” said Yusuf.

“We hope to take the team to the next level from where they are now and it is not going to be easy.

“We need to change some things but is going to be a gradual process.”

After his first game against visiting Egyptian side Pyramids on Sunday, Salisu Yusuf will also lead the Flying Antelopes out against  Mauritania’s Nouadhibou and another Egyptian side Al Masry, in the continental tournament.
