Sadiq Umar unfazed! Lifts 10-man Almeria over Malaga

Umar Sadiq keeps proving he has come of age for that big jump to the big leagues and deserves more props than he gets for his art as a goal scorer.

Sadiq, 24, packs swift leg work with a touch of deftness and a dominant aerial ability in his game, a long way from the uncertain kid that struggled at AS Roma and Rangers.
There’s little or no hype at all around his talent and it’s no wonder the rumor mill stayed almost quite about the likelihood of a big money move away from UD Almeria for the Nigerian during the summer transfer window.
He has allowed that deter him this season though. On Saturday, with a powerful header he beat the Malaga goalkeeper to put 10-man Almeria ahead at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.
His goal inspired the team to 2-0 victory in the Segunda Division with the fans going wild as they retained one of their most priced asset, at least until the next window.
Last season he finished with 20 goals in 40 league games and just fell short of helping the club secure LaLiga status.
So far this campaign, the Forward has made 4 appearance and scored half of that, ensuring to help his team hold on to second spot on the table as they chase another promotion story.
