Sadiq Umar proves unstoppable in Almeria win against Real Sociedad B

Sadiq Umar scored a goal and provided two assists as Almeria continued their push for promotion to LaLiga with a comfortable 3-1 win against Real Sociedad B on Thursday night at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.

Sadiq who now has seven goals in LaLiga 2 so far this season took his goal contribution to 11 (4 assists) and sits top of the goalscorers chart in the league.
He started off the night brilliantly on Thursday, setting up Jose Carlos Lazo after just four minutes of play.
However it wasn’t long before the visitors responded, Jon Magunazelaia found the back of the net 16 minutes after the conceded.
The game will not produce another goal until late in the second half when Sadiq (75′) himself stepped up with a cool finish inside the box.
Moments later he was through on goal again and could have scored his second, but the 24 year-old, who is also yet to make a senior appearance for Nigeria unselfishly teed up Alejandro Pozo (87′) for a tap in.
That victory moved them to the top of the pile in the league standings with 22 points, one point more than second placed Eibar, after 11 round of matches.
After the game head Coach Rubi said:
‘The team is fighting, although sometimes it loses the leadership, it means that it is fighting for the best; for being first and playing next year in the First Division.’
