Royal Union SG 3-0 Oostende: Boniface gets Assist and title inspiration


Victor Boniface didn’t get on the score sheet, but he registered an assist as Royal Union SG beat Oostende 3-0 in the Jupiler League on Monday.

Boniface set up Simon Adingra for his side’s second goal in the 63rd minute after Teddy Tuema broke the deadlock from the spot, five minutes after the restart insisde the Stade Joseph Marien.

Dante Vanzeir completed the routing in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Forward already has three goals in the league this season and as many assists in 15 appearances his debut season in Belgium.

Against Oostende, he put on one of his better performances; registering 2 shots on goal.

He completed a game high 6 dribbles, 2 interceptions, 2 clearances, won 2 aerial duels in his Eighty-four minutes on the pitch.

Victory on the day for Royal Union SG took their unbeaten run in the league to 10 matches (8W, 1D) and they moved up to second in the standings after 18 matches.

Next up for Les Unionistes is a trip away to Anderlecht on January 8.
