Rohr refuses to play mind games with Amrouche on juju allegations

Date:

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has stated that he will not be drawn into the temptation of engaging Libya national team coach Adel Amrouche in mind games ahead of Nigeria’s next AFCON qualifying tie.

The Libyan national team coach boasted that he wouldn’t mind playing the Eagles twice in Nigeria. He also said Nigeria rely on juju to play football.
Rohr has declared that the Eagles will simply go about their normal preparation and take care of business against the Libyans when the time comes.
“We are not moved by his mind games. It won’t deter us from preparing very hard against the Libyans,” Rohr told Footballive.ng.
“I’m disappointed in the fact that such comments will come from a coach of his calibre.”
“There is no point engaging Adel on the Pages of Newspaper or the Social Media. We will take care of his team at the battle field,” he added.
Nigeria with face Libya in the matchday3 and 4 respectively in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
